I just wanted to to let you guys know I'm thinking about dropping another freestyle and video off of Loose Thoughts Vol. 2!!!

Everyone who is following this blog or my Sound Cloud (http://soundcloud.com/youngmanik) will get to hear the track probably a day or two before the video gets uploaded.

Good Kid m.A.A.d. City // GlitcheddDd Video in the Making.....

The crew and I are at it... working on this GlitcheddDd video, it should turn out nice!! I'm shooting it with my homeboy Richard De (The one talking trash towards the end of Clique on Tokyo Technology), he's really dope when it comes to producing and editing videos and what not; he produces a little on the side as well. I'll take some pictures throughout the video shoot so you guy will be able to see whats going on.

By the way, The Weeknd is pretty cool I decided. I really want to see where he goes..

That new Kendrick - Good Kid MAAD City is the talk of the town right now.... It's apparently an "instant classic"

It was just alright to me yo.. Like, the beats were great, I give him props on the beat selection, and the lyrics will OBVIOUSLY always be there on a Kendrick Lamar album; but there is a right and a wrong way (in my opinion) to approach a beat with complicated/lyrical flows.. Bone Thugs nailed it... Kendrick not so much.. Yellow Wolf is better at too it but less lyrical to me, and MGK is more on the lyrical side and less flow oriented like Kendrick..

Overall, I give it an 8 out of 10 but a lot of people are claiming it as the best album of the year... Although Album of the Year is not too hard to achieve, it still a little far fetched. It is still none the less a solid album, for those who haven't heard it - I'd give it a play-through it at least once to see if it fit my taste.

Well Needed Update

So I'm back! If you couldn't tell.... and dropping a mixtape very soon, sometime mid august.

I feel like I'm coming down with a cold.

A lot of material is going to drop during august and I will be blogging a lot to keep you updated. I tweet a lot and I usually leak the links for the tracks I release before I officially announce/blog about them. - @YoungManik

So Spotlight...

Before we get into it, I just want to clarify that none of the tracks that I've recently released are going to be on the Spotlight Project.

...Sooo Spotlight......

Is NOT the mixtape that I mentioned at the beginning of the post.  However, it is still definitely going to be released, I am just making sure it comes out right. I decided that Spotlight is going to be an original project, all of the beats on the mixtape will be produced by me. It is going to be like an album. There will be music videos as well.

OH snap son, by the way, I've been bumping that Curren$y tape for a good minute! I'm about to get that new Frank Ocean album, I've hear good things about it.

... Yea I buy my music...

My head is aching... Probably from this cold that I'm hoping I'm not catching...

Busy, busy, busy.......

I'm outside of a building waiting for it to be time for my job interview that I have. :D

I have so much work to do with other artists and if any of you are reading: I'm not putting anything off. I just have a lot on my plate, so sorry if I may take a little longer than projected.

Spotlight update

I am currently hard at work on Spotlight. It's gonna be a great mixtape, it's going to be the most lyrical mixtape that I will drop for a while. I am making a lot of adjustments to the mixtape to get it to come out just right but stay tuned.
